Kitesurfing from Manila

Updated: Aug 30, 2019

A long weekend? A strong desire to kitesurf? Kiting in Negros from Manila is the easiest thing on earth!!

From November till April, the wind is almost guaranteed in Negros... During the Amihan season, we had an average of 26 days per month with kitesurfing wind... This kind of statistics are hard to find in another uncrowded spot in Asia. So let's say you're pretty sure to find wind during your stay with us.

Wind Statistics Dumaguete - Negros - Kitesurf

Your trip will indeed be by plane to Dumaguete. Cebu pacific and Philippines airline are serving flight from Manila to Dumaguete on Daily basis. The flight duration is 1hour. Each way costs around 2000 Php, so your round trip will be around 80$... Not bad!

From the airport of Dumaguete to Zamboanguita, and for all information about the trip, have a look at our "How to get there"

For your accommodation, you can easily find a place at 1200 php /night with breakfast included (Malatapay Beach Café) or go into a great and cozy resort (Kav's beach resort, around 2500/night). Those 2 recommended places can be booked through us.

The best deal for a short stay:

The wind is usually better in the morning... So take the last flight, Friday after work in Manila (or the super early flight in the morning) and leave Dumaguete to make your way back home in the Sunday afternoon.

Book in Advance. If you know that you'll be having a long weekend, other have the same... so better book in advance so you're not disappointed not to come.

What to bring:

During the main season, 9 and 12m are the best kites around.

Board are annoying to cary by plane... rent one from us! For 30$ a day, save yourself from the hassle of carrying a large board-bag...

For 80$ a day, 150$ for the weekend or 300$ a week, come only with your board-short :) we have a range of kites and board that would suit anyone! Rentals info HERE
